At our clinics, we understand that having diagnostic modalities is indispensable for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Diagnostic Ultrasound (Sonography) is commonly used by podiatrists in the UK and other parts of the world to diagnose patient conditions and we have found it equally helpful in our experience. Chief radiologist Dr. Wang, joined us this week to showcase the utility of these devices in the treatment of patients with lower extremity conditions.
Sharing her experience in the design and use of such devices, Dr. Wang offered insight into how sonography could be used to resolve difficulties encountered by practitioners during patient treatment. For example, such devices enhanced clinical consultation by providing patients a first-hand glimpse of the affected areas of their body. This simplified patient explanations and reinforced patient self-care as patients better understood their conditions and how these could be managed.
