He spoke about the ongoing orthopaedic foot and ankle research in Singapore on flat foot disorders and the progression towards arthritic change, as well as the question of when is the best time to intervene in chronic ankle arthritis’ using surgical strategies and ankle-foot orthotics. The outlook of people living with foot and ankle arthritis in Singapore is far more promising in light of today’s surgical advancements, but the key to a successful clinical outcome is always early intervention.
