Workshop with our guest orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Gowreeson, discussions on coordinated care plans between Podiatry and Orthopaedic in Singapore. The team discussed treatment strategies for various painful foot and ankle conditions through surgical and non-surgical methods.

Dr. Gowresson discussed various topics ranging from sesamoid fractures to high-risk diabetic foot care. He spoke about the ongoing orthopaedic foot and ankle research in Singapore on flat foot disorders and the progression towards arthritic change, as well as the question of when is the best time to intervene in chronic ankle arthritis’ using surgical strategies and ankle-foot orthotics. The outlook of people living with foot and ankle arthritis in Singapore is far more promising in light of today’s surgical advancements, but the key to a successful clinical outcome is always early intervention.

Dr. Gowreeson is an orthopaedic surgeon in Singapore, specialising in foot and ankle surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital.
