In October, we visited universities in Australia to speak to their students studying podiatry. Reaching out to these students is crucial for both our practice and the field of podiatry in Singapore.
These efforts to reach out are unique to our practice in Singapore and has allowed us to work closely with a variety of schools around the world. Moreover, this has provided us with the opportunity to host podiatry interns multiple times a year, providing our podiatrists and the students opportunities for growth and learning. This programme also allows the interns to venture and explore podiatry outside their home country.
Our visit to the Charles Sturt University also allowed our podiatrist Ryan Marshall, to reach out to his juniors at his alma mater. In addition to sharing about his time in Singapore and East Coast Podiatry, Ryan also spoke about the differences in care and general healthcare systems between private and public practice in Singapore.
Our visits to partner universities also encourages to keep up with developments in the field as well as explore new prospects for growth and outreach. We would like to extend a thank you to the following universities for hosting us and organising sessions to meet their students.
- Charles Sturt University
- Queensland University of Technology
- La Trobe University
