Our latest group of interns from the University of Huddersfield in the U.K arrived recently and spent some time at our practice. The trio adapted quickly and were cleared to work with patients.
The trio were given opportunities to observe and work with patients in a clinical setting that was very different from what they were used to. This helped to broaden their skill sets as well as better prepare them for the wide variety of patients they will see in practice.
Our interns also participated in our ongoing efforts to offer our staff professional development opportunities and practice. By providing these students the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line equipment and facilities, the students also gained familiarity with treatment modalities that are typically unavailable in other practices.
Having spent two weeks at our practice, the interns are now back in the U.K. We wish them and their families all the best and good health in these trying times.
