I visited East Coast Podiatry for the first time on a Saturday morning as a walk-in. Luckily, they had an immediate availabile slot and referred me to Dr Gayatri. She was very friendly, professional, and detailed in explaining the cause of my achilles tendonitis, attributing it to my unnoticed bunion.
Given my recent foot surgeries, she chose a more conservative treatment plan instead of shockwave therapy. She recommended specific medical shoe brands, custom foot orthotics and light exercises first. She also made sure I felt comfortable during the ultrasound scan, explaining in detail about the sonogram images, pointing out a spur and area of inflammation. The assessment included other foot scans and mobility tests, which was very thorough and comfortable.
From the 30-minute consultation, I learnt so much from Dr Gayatri like it was a mini crash-course. Very eye-opening actually. She answered all my questions very promptly, showed empathy and professionalism, and I could see her passion and heart in helping me feel better.
The fees were higher than I had expected because I assumed it would be a simple treatment. However, the receptionist explained the cost upfront during registration ($150 consultation + $300 assessment + additional treatment cost), and I fully trust in Dr Gayatri's judgment after hearing her detailed assessment. Thank you for making my first consultation both stress-free and highly educational.

I came to east coast podiatry after landing a front handspring terribly, with all of my weight going onto my left foot. This left me with an intense pain on the right side of my left ankle, which I instinctively knew was serious because I had many other ankle injuries in the past.
Maria did the initial diagnosis and suggested shockwave therapy for the treatment. The pricing of this treatment plan was made transparent to me (~$4000) and at no point was I “pressured” into taking it up. I took the time to look into the nature of my injury and the treatment suggested, and Maria was happy to answer the questions I had.
Though steep (in price), I accepted that the treatment suggested was my best chance at recovering fully (which is crucial for my line of work), and went through with it. Daveena was the one who handled every one of my shockwave therapy sessions from the 2nd session onwards, and was very professional, accomodating, and answered my questions readily.
I feel that I should mention that the administrative staff displayed integrity by letting me know I could use any brand of sports tape for the ankle taping, instead of insisting I buy the one they offer in-house.

I visited East Podiatry in Novena about three months ago as I was experiencing sharp pain on my left heel. It was affecting my running and walking. During my first consultation, Jordan accurately diagnosed the condition as Achilles tendonitis and recommended a shock wave therapy.. fast forward that three months later, the pain has dissipated. I am now able to resume my running. Jordan is very helpful and attuned to his patients' needs. I am a barefoot runner and he acknowledged that switching to regular shoes will not do me any good. I appreciate his frank advice. He also recommended exercises to help me with strengthening my toes and plantar muscles so as to prevent the Achilles tendonitis from recurring. His assistant, Ashley performed the shock wave treatment with precision and skills, as well. Overall, I am very happy with the treatment and service.
